In the deployment space, you’ll own the process of moving the developer team’s source code to production environments and implement any necessary process changes. Using your skills with assessing time/cost benefits, you’ll also have the freedom to automate the process where possible and provide tools that facilitate the Dev/QA team’s focus on writing code.

DevOps engineers/web team release managers have a refined skill set and will also be responsible for managing feature branches to implement the right code at the right time, ensuring no work is lost. You will design a process for maintaining and using configuration data, including the security of sensitive information.

At the release management level, we’ll need you to coordinate with product owners, track related source code branches, ensure the visibility of all included production releases, both past and future, as well as provide QA tools that contribute a smooth deployment, including those made during daytime.

With your developer experience, you’ll also have a role in software design to ensure faster releases with fewer issues and will help maintain a focus on corporate guidelines. You’ll also be able to provide feedback to adjust those guidelines. If required, your skill set will enable you to set up and assist with troubleshooting for new and existing environment servers.

Desired Skills

  • DevOps Engineer or specialist with a strong C#, scripting and web development background
  • Strong proficiency with DevOps automation, builds, source control
  • Proficiency with Team Foundation Server (TFS), unit testing, Git source control, PowerShell
  • Nice to have: Angular, React, SiteCore

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps and C#
    • Will consider Junior Web Dev who:
      • Has experience in Dev Ops and would like to grow in this space
      • Proficiency with C# and build automation
      • Familiarity with web development, Team Foundation Server (TFS), unit testing Git source control, scripting
      • Nice to have: Angular React, SiteCore, PowerShell
