Hi Martin,

Thanks for your feedback. I to have been a little frustrated with the state of meeting software and the complexity needed to get good results.
You are correct about the output resolution of the OBS projector in a single monitor setup. When I am presenting using only my laptop screen, the work around that I use is to maximize the OBS projector window, share it via Team's Window Share, then move it to a second virtual desktop (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/multiple-desktops-in-windows-10-36f52e38-5b4a-557b-2ff9-e1a60c976434). Note from the above comment, you do need to share the projector window before moving it to the second desktop. This has currently been the best work around I have found due to the limitations of screen share vs virtual camera quality issues you mentioned above. Some programs have addressed this issue by allowing you to share a camera without the diminished quality (Zoom for example has an option for a second camera that works well with the OBS virtual camera). For Teams however, this has not yet been implemented. You can help set the priority of features for Microsoft Teams by upvoting issues on User Voice; in particular this issue here looks to be closely related (https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/40381729-share-a-second-camera-to-show-worksheets-full-scre)

This almost seemed to be what we needed. Unfortunately, it's not very useful. In a 1 monitor setup, you definitely don't want to share the entire screen. So, I choose Windowed Projector. Unfortunately, the output is conditioned by the size of the window. So, for example, in order to have a 4k output, then that Window Projector window should be resized to 4k.
Why isn't this seamless, I don't know. This should be the same as the Virtual Camera, only tricking the computer to think it's a display, instead of a camera ??‍. So you can screen-share the OBS output at high quality, in any app (Skype, Slack, Zoom, Teams, browser services etc.).
In case anyone suggests to actually use Virtual Camera, I'll point out why that isn't usable for such scenarios:
1. If it's not a screen share, then you not necessarily maximized on the other participant's screen (unless they explicitly spotlight you, but not all apps have that option and it's not ok to depend on users doing so anyway)
2. If it's not a screen share, the quality is garbage. I wish I could post some screenshots here. If I share my VSCode window, the other participants see the code/text very pixelated and blurry, it's far from readable. I guess the video-feed is capped somehow at 720p perhaps or even lower (without the possibility of doing anything about it in most apps, like Skype for example). So, using Virtual Camera is definitely not a solution. Come on OBS... Why did you have to do this projector thing dependent on the projection window size? Or why even have a projection window? We don't have such a thing on the Virtual Camera, why here? At least make the stream resolution independent of the projection window size. We already have a resolution output set in OBS settings, that's what should be taken into account
