Who We Are

About IntelliTect

IntelliTect is a software and AI consulting firm based in Spokane, Washington. We help organizations solve complex technical problems and apply modern technology, including AI, in ways that create real, measurable value. We combine training, strategy, and engineering to move teams from uncertainty to execution.

Our Mission

Purposeful Generosity

IntelliTect exists to solve complex technical problems in ways that create meaningful, lasting impact. From the beginning, a substantial portion of the firm’s success has gone toward combating extreme poverty, injustice, and human suffering, something we call Purposeful Generosity. Our giving supports organizations that address the root causes of societal challenges, and when our team delivers value to a client, that effort powers something larger.

Leadership

Our Founders

IntelliTect was founded by Mark and Elisabeth Michaelis. Their commitment to both technical quality and Purposeful Generosity continues to shape how the company operates today.

What We Do

How We Help

Organizations typically bring us in when the problem is difficult, the stakes are high, and previous approaches have not worked. We work with clients locally and internationally, across industries including utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, fintech, and insurance, helping them move from AI curiosity to real-world impact with the engineering foundation that makes AI usable in production.

Our Services

Our capabilities fall into four areas:

How We Work

Our Approach and Culture

A "be the best you can be" attitude runs through the team. We push each other to take on more than we thought we could and pursue quality in everything we do, which is what helps our clients get the most from what we build together. We take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously, as the steady stream of Princess Bride references woven through our culture makes clear.

"When you form a team, everyone is just a member of the team, and you can lead, not by terms of title, but by what we have to offer."

- Mark Michaelis, IntelliTect Co-Founder

Our Core Values

Three core values guide who we are, how we work and how we make decisions. Together they are a large part of why we are able to deliver complex, custom software dependably and within the commitments we make.

Innovative Excellence

Innovative Excellence means pursuing the best solution, not just one that works. We get there by finding and solving the underlying problems, the ones a client may only vaguely sense or assume cannot be fixed. Those are the problems we most enjoy taking on.

Passionate Hard Work

When the work is fulfilling, it does not feel like work. We are builders and puzzle-solvers who take genuine pride in designing, building, and shipping solid architecture and engineering for our clients. We hold ourselves to a high standard, and we enjoy meeting it.

Courageous Honesty

Courageous Honesty is the foundation of the trust our clients place in us. We share our assessments, timelines, and recommendations directly, even when the truth is uncomfortable. That directness is a large part of why we are able to deliver solutions within the constraints we commit to.
